Sandbox Lab: Reservations

This guide provides background on the Sandbox, booking instructions, as well as pedagogical uses and technology available.

Reserving the Sandbox

The Sandbox is available first come, first served when not reserved.  If the Sandbox is not available, the Library also offers the second floor classroom for your use.

If there is a conflict with the date you would like to use the Sandbox or Library Classroom, please email library@berry.edu and we will work with you to accommodate your schedule.

Please use the Book a Room link to make your reservation.

Semester Long Reservations

The Sandbox may also be reserved for full semester courses with Provost approval.  Please email the Provost with your reasoning as to why your course should be allowed to use the Sandbox for the semester.  Make sure to include your pedagogical goals and the learning outcomes for your students in your proposal.

If your course is approved, please plan on a series of consultations with Jeremy Worsham, the Instructional Design and Technology Librarian, so that you can familiarize yourself with the technology and its capabilities.

At the end of the semester, you will provide the Provost with a brief report (one page) on your use of the Sandbox and how the space supported your pedagogical goals and student learning outcomes.  Also, consider whether or not you can use this experience as an opportunity to contribute to the scholarship of pedagogy or teaching and learning through a conference presentation or journal submission.
