Will help you out when you have a typo
Help you modify your search by providing similar or narrower subject terms on  the result listing page, as well as under each result
Access to information
When you run into a result that was originally published in a print media, you may be asked to pay for access. Google Scholar will provide you access to some of these articles, only because it is routing you back to library databases
