A basic outline of how to use Memorial Library's interlibrary loan services.

How to Request a Journal Article

The simplest way to make an interlibrary loan request is to go through our WorldCat catalog. Follow these steps to find and request material for interlibrary loan.

Step 1: Search the catalog. Go to the Memorial Library homepage at www.berry.edu/academics/library/. Select the Articles tab, enter your search, and click Go.

Step 2: Select the correct articleFrom the list of potential articles,​ choose the entry that best matches your desired item. ​Click the title link for the item.​

Step 3: Double-check that the article is the correct one.Be sure to check for correct​ author(s) and publication history. Click on the "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button.

If you're searching from off-campus: After clicking the "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button, you will need to log in with your AD credentials.

Step 4: Fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request Form. An Interlibrary Loan Request form will appear that is pre-filled with information about the item you want to request.

Please enter the "Needed Before" date (Should be at least 4 days from now. This represents the average turnaround time.)

Add any specific personal notes to the ILL Department in the Comments box.​ Click the Submit request button.

Your request has been submitted and will appear in your library account with a 'Pending' status.
