Shelton Family Historian Karen Stewart is responsible for the monumental undertaking of researching and documenting the lives of her ancestors, and this guide could not exist without her work. Along with Ms. Ross, Shelton Family members Angela James and Mitchell Shelton were critical to the recognition by Berry College of the importance of its stewardship of the Shelton Family land. Beginning in 2016 Berry College Library Director Sherre Harrington and Associate Professor of English Christina Bucher were honored to join members of the family in working to make the connection between the family and the college. Berry College students Caitlin Herring, Josephine Phillips, and Cole Allen assisted with research in the Berry College Archives.
