Social Theory SOC300 - Dr. Anne Lewinson

Research guide for ANT/SOC 300, Dr. Lewinson

Specialized Databases

Like most disciplines, there are specialized databases that focus on the literature of anthropology and sociology.

Comprehensive Databases

Because of the nature of topics to be researched, combine searches in specialized databases with other, more comprehensive resources such as Google Scholar or ProQuest Central. With Google Scholar, be sure to set up custom settings to more reliably see Memorial Library's subscribed content.

Data Sources

Sometimes it is necessary to find statistical data and other forms of data sets for your research. Below are just a few data sources that are available to help with anthropological research. For more help in this area don't hesitate to contact one of our librarians for assistance.

Access Databases Off-Campus

Databases are accessible off-campus via your Active Directory credentials. Your Active Directory username is the first part of your email address. (For example,  jsmith or john.smith).
