Unfortunately, we are going to need to postpone the transition until a later date, probably when the product is out of beta testing. The need to postpone is due to the ILL office not having enough student workers over the summer to back me up with daily operations while my attention would have been focused on the transition. I also could not get all the information we needed (patron data load, for instance). With lack of adequate staffing and background info I feel that it was too risky to go ahead with the transition. OCLC says that the product, which is now formally called “Tipasa”, will become available to all libraries within three years, so I would say we wait until then to move forward. I’ll keep you all updated as time goes on.
