Vickie M. Stringer (1970-), American novelist, publisher, literary agent, and entrepreneur, is known for her success as a writer and publisher of urban fiction, a genre she helped to develop and popularise. Stringer, who began her writing career after serving time in prison, built a publishing business after initially facing obstacles to publishing her work. She is credited with helping to promote the work of African-American authors and stories once ignored by mainstream publishers.
