Isabel Ashe Bonnyman Stanley is Professor Emerita in the Department of English at East Tennessee State University. Her 1990 University of Tennessee Ph.D. dissertation The Anglican Clergy in the Novels of Barbara Pym, has been highly cited in books and articles about Pym. In addition to her work on Pym, Bonny has published widely on diverse subjects including fantasy literature, the short story, and Jane Austen.
Bonny and Brooke Stanley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year with their three children and six grandchildren.
